Czech Grocery Store

Liz and I went to the grocery store yesterday to pick up some Czech Treats to take home to the babies. This would be some of the oddities and things we did NOT bring home :)

Yup friends, that's a meat cake decorated in poppy seeds -yum...

The bread-shaped pink stuff is more meat. I guess it fits your bread better that way. :).

The circles behind it...that would be chicken pieces congealed in chicken broth/fat and gelatin.

This would be their milk isle. Except it's not refrigerated because milk doesn't have to be refrigerated until its opened.

Liz was pretty excited because it's the first time she's seen Cheetos here. Too bad they were really cheese puffs flavored in ketchup, cheese, and peanut. For all your Cheetos needs :)

These chip flavors were rosemary, mushroom, niva-Czech Brie cheese, and garlic.

The bread selection was impressive and deserved a picture but I didn't take one. But trust me, they definitely beat Americans on the yummy breads they have. Overall, a very interesting experience.

Again, I can't believe that Emily and April (and Christa and Amber!) didn't have something to say about all this awesomeness. This post might be my second favorite. ;) I'm so happy you've been to my grocery store.

I'm so glad you posted these things for us to see. I'm sure they're the norm for Liz now and it was fun for her to see how weird it is for you.
