And then there were 3!

Yup that's right. There's a new kid in the Andersen house. His name is Tyler and he is a very interesting kid to get to know!  A few months younger than Cadence, he's a little behind developmentally but we believe that enough time with Cadence and Isaiah and he'll be right with them. If we see you in FL you will get to meet both Isaiah and Tyler because they get to come with us!!

Sorry this picture is sideways - I couldn't get it to turn!

Taking Turns

Taking turns doesn't come naturally to 2 and 3 year olds. We knew this long before Isaiah showed up but it became SO much more evident once he was here. Because of that, we work daily to be good "sharers"

The pictures are proof that occasionally - actually more often than not - Cadence and Isaiah do share!!

Taking turns pulling each other in the wagon

I was taking a picture of Cadence in this outfit because 1) it's cute and 2) it's the last outfit from her baby showers that I have pulled tags off of so that she can wear it. So, that should be documented!

Isaiah came into the room as I was taking it and so Cadence actually suggested that "Saiah" have a turn holding something and having his picture taken too. He grabbed the first thing he could find and started smiling!  This little boy makes me laugh and we love having him around!

Meet Baby Jane

We are so excited that Jane Alexa Lourcey has arrived! My (ashleigh) sister Emily had her baby on June 11th. I was so blessed to actually be able be in the delivery room when Jane was born and loved being able to meet Jane right from the beginning. Cadence had made the trip to Wake Forest with me and she also loved Jane right from the beginning. Below is a picture of Cadence while we were driving to Wake Forest. We left super early in the morning so she fell back asleep in her seat. I LOVE how girly she is and that she crosses her feet in her sleep :)

On Friday, Chris and Isaiah made the trek back to Wake Forest with Cadence and I so that they could meet Jane as well. Here is Uncle Chris showing Jane to Cadence and Isaiah.

for more pictures of how beautiful Jane really is go to Emily and Rob's blog

Fun in Wake Forest

We went to Wake Forest to spend time with my (ashleigh) family after Jane was born. We are so excited for Rob and Emily (my sister and bro-in-law) for having sweet baby Jane with them and we wanted to be with them as much as possible. However, with a 2 and 3 year old around we had to find other things to do while Jane was sleeping/eating/etc.   Thankfully the house we were at had a great back yard to play in so we spent lots of time outside!

Cadence and Isaiah practicing their pouty faces :)

Playing on the slip-n-slide from GiG  - the yellow one

The people whose house we were at had a great pool for them to play in as well.

Summer Fun

We are so glad that summer has arrived in NC!  What is interesting is that because of that, every picture we take seems to involve outside and food - and mostly cold food at that.

This week we went to a friend's softball game. It was so much fun and brought back lots of memories of being a kid at the ball field. Especially when Cadence tried to climb the back  of the bleachers - who hasn't done that as a kid?   We stopped on the way to the game to get some ice cream. Here are Cadence and Isaiah with their chocolate ice cream with sprinkles :)

Cadence and Isaiah LOVE popsicles. They seriously eat one like every day. But, it's summer so it's allowed in my world as long as they eat them outside.
