Cadence and her Babies

Cadence LOVES her babies. She plays with them most all of the time and incorporates them into her other playing too. Like if she's swinging she takes a baby out to swing, or if she's playing in her kitchen she's making food and feeding one of her babies, etc. I've been trying to get some pictures of her over the last week or so of her playing at different times with different babies. Here's what I came up with. Enjoy!!

New Video

I've put a new video on You Tube. Cadence has learned the song Mary Had a Little Lamb. However, one of her best friends is named Mary so she really thinks that the song is about her friend Mary. So, without being prompted or anything, she began to put in other people's names to have a little lamb too. Lella, Daddy, Mommy. It's pretty funny. She wanted a "piano lesson" because i had several on Friday that she had to wait thru. So we were rdoing her lesson and she was singing and playing.

Not much going on in the Andersen house.

Cadence loves to check the mail. I think mostly because there's usually something for her in it. But lately, she's really fascinated with the whole mail process. Last week we had put something in the mail box to be picked up by the lady but then she went back out because she didn't like the flag up and put it down. So, when Chris checked the mail when he got home from school, our out-going mail was still there too. ARGH!  However, these pictures are of her checking the mail one day a couple of weeks ago.

Checking to see if it's for her. :)
That one must be Daddy's. And could we check the mail without some kind of dance to go with it?!?!?

Cadence is really into dressing up lately. She loves this Cinderella outfit from KayKay and it has high heels that she wears almost daily. I think she would wear the shoes in public if I let her. She also likes to wear any of our clothes that happen to be laying around on the floor but we don't take many pictures of that because they're not as blog appropriate or as cute as a Cinderella outfit. :)

New Potty Incentives

So, this whole potty training thing is beginning to drag on in Andersen world so my mom sent Cadence a package in the mail to help her finish up this potty training.

Going Potty (she just woke up which somewhat explains the hair)

Putting her sticker on the chart.
We started yesterday afternoon and she was so excited about a reward system that she went 4 times from after her nap until bedtime.
The other part of the reward (and the one she likes the most)  NANDY!!!!!

As I write this she's in the bathroom with a book trying to go potty again. I think reward systems are going to be the new thing in the Andersen house :)

More Football!!!

We've been to yet another Mooresville football game!  This one was rainy and kind of cool (weather wise) but we still had a great time. We've also had a full Saturday of College Football (go FSU winning 69-0 - even if it was to a "girl's school")  as well as  a full Sunday of NFL Football!! We spent Sunday at some friend's house who have the NFL ticket where we could watch like 8 football games at a time on their TV. It was pretty exciting. We're sad that the Bucs lost but the Panthers came thru HUGE at the end of their game.   We are so excited in the Andersen house that it's football season. Here is a link to a YouTube video of Cadence talking about the football games.

The Bible says to "train up a child in the way they should go so that when they're old they will not depart from it"  Here is how Chris is starting to train Cadence in the proper way to take in a Saturday afternoon football game.

I think she's got this lesson down :)

Football Season!!!

A couple of weeks ago Cadence went to her first official football game!!! Since Chris is on staff with the school district, he - along with his family- gets in free to all the home high school football games. So, since it was free, we decided to go. Cadence loved it. She thought the band was great, copied all of the cheerleaders moves, watched the boys fall on their knees (her words) and ate more candy than she would normally have in a weeks time. She has talked non-stop about the boys with the ball and so we're planning on going to more ball games as the season continues.
