Future Clothes Designer??

Just thought you'd want to know Shae's latest fashion sense. She LOVES to play dress-up and lately her favorite thing to dress up in is my (Ashleigh) underclothes. I don't know if it's because it's the drawer that she can open, or is she just really likes my panties but lots of days lately her clothes seems to be accessorized this way. :)

Last Wednesday's Field Trip

This past Wednesday's field trip with Chris' class we went to the racing museums. Cadence didn't really care too much about all the cars (they were pretty boring) but thankfully, her friends were  there so they could all play together. One of the museums even had a puppy in it and she LOVED that part!!

The girls all took turns "driving" this car.

Cadence waiting her turn with Amber and Fantasia.

I don't know how well you can see her, but Alison has decided that she likes Cadence and I. So, she holds onto us (me) while we walk around.   Fantasia didn't want to pose with this car but I got her picture anyway :)

Pictures of Cadence ?!?!?

I know it's been awhile since it's been pictures of Cadence so here are a couple of pictures of her over the past couple of weeks.

AbbaLou sent finger paint stuff in Cadence's "Fall Package" so here she is her first time officially finger painting. She had lots of fun with it!

She was "helping" with the laundry. She likes to put on the clothes that are being folded.

Here she is super-excited about going thru the car wash (there will be a video to follow of the actual experience) but I thought the picture was cute so I wanted to post it. :)

Fall Colors

For all you FL people,  the leaves are changing so I decided to share our colored trees with you. I took pictures on my drive to Wal-mart because it amazes me that you could have this pretty of a drive just to get to the store.

The burgundy tree is actually the on in our own yard. I love it.

The brightest colored ones look to me like they're glowing or on fire. Pretty amazing.

So this video I've been trying to get uploaded onto Youtube for weeks and didn't think I was successful. Well, evidently at some point I was because it's on there now. It's Cadence eating candy from Aunt Connie. Click here

Big News in the Andersen House!!

DISCLAIMER:
This post is about poop so if that is gross to you, you should just look at the cute pictures of the girl and skip the words.

Guess who poo poos on the potty?!?  Thanks Mom for the great incentive of popsicles. She LOVES them and I love clean panties!!

SO, the way the system works is that if she poo poos on the potty, she gets a popsicle. We went to the store as a family and Cadence specifically picked out these popsicles. They even have candy in the stick!  So, 2 Sundays ago, we were in this process and once we got to church to set-up she had to go potty. So, we run to the school bathroom and of course she poops and immediately is so excited because all we've talked about for a week is that if she will do this, she can get a popsicle. So, she asks for her popsicle. Well, I didn't plan for poop at church and had no popsicles with me :(   so one of the girls who helps us out and I ran up the road to the grocery store and bought a box of popsicles. We did make her get a box that only had 6 in it. So, I had one, Cadence had one, the other girl had one, and we got to church with 3 popsicles which we gave away and went to the service.

To date, we're not 100% successful but I would say we're at least 87% and that's miles from where we were so we'll take it. We haven't had an accident since we got home from Ohio on Sunday so that's good with me.

Halloween 2008

Trick-or-treating came early for Cadence this year. We were in Ohio seeing Chris' parents and in their town, all trick-or-treating was done on Thursday night instead of Friday. So, we drove to Ohio, spent some time hanging out, and then  got Cadence all dressed up in her cheerleading outfit to go and get some candy. She wanted to take Slang, but even with his jacket, he was too cold. :(

Every  year, all the houses on Keith and Cindy's street have a cook out in the cul de sac that they live on and sit together so that trick-or-treaters don't have to go door to door but instead can just walk the line of chairs to collect their candy for the street. While some parents hand out candy, others take their little guys around the rest of the neighborhood to collect candy. We were in the second group. So, here are all the kids ready to go candy collecting.

Cadence testing her skills in the cul de sac.

and then we were off to the real houses!! Me, Chris and Papa Keith took turns taking her to houses (even tho Keith and Chris did most of the work)  Cadence was so funny because at first she was pretty excited about the whole candy thing. Then she realized that some of the people had dogs in their houses or even outside with them. Well, once there were dogs involved she didn't care nearly as much about the candy. As she went up to houses instead of saying the traditional "trick or treat" she would say "where you puppy?"  Thankfully lots of people had dogs and she got to spend the entire evening giving every dog in Huber Heights, OH hugs and kisses. She's so great!

Trunk or Treat

These blogs are out of order. I'm really bad at organizing before I begin uploading. That being said:

While in Ohio visiting Chris' parents this weekend, there were lots of planned events. We actually Trick-or-treated on Thursday night and then on Friday night went to a local church that was having a trunk-or-treat. In keeping with the night before, Cadence dressed as a cheerleader - only this time a Bucs cheerleader - and again loved the dogs more than the candy.

Here she is figuring out that the people at the cars are the ones with the candy.

But then there were puppies and candy was quickly forgotten.

Posing with Daddy and Mimi

Poses from earlier in the evening with all our new (and some old) friends.

The picture with her fist out is the one picture that I got of her somewhat posing in her costume. After all the football games we've sat thru, the fist pump was the closest thing we got to an actual cheer.

The other picture is her cousin Jesse. Jesse lives in Missouri with more of Chris' family and is 6 months younger than Cadence. We're so glad that Uncle joe, Aunt Lisa, Aunt Danielle, and Jesse came over to see us. Cadence is still talking about them (along with baby JackJack).
