Not much going on in the Andersen house.

Cadence loves to check the mail. I think mostly because there's usually something for her in it. But lately, she's really fascinated with the whole mail process. Last week we had put something in the mail box to be picked up by the lady but then she went back out because she didn't like the flag up and put it down. So, when Chris checked the mail when he got home from school, our out-going mail was still there too. ARGH!  However, these pictures are of her checking the mail one day a couple of weeks ago.

Checking to see if it's for her. :)
That one must be Daddy's. And could we check the mail without some kind of dance to go with it?!?!?

Cadence is really into dressing up lately. She loves this Cinderella outfit from KayKay and it has high heels that she wears almost daily. I think she would wear the shoes in public if I let her. She also likes to wear any of our clothes that happen to be laying around on the floor but we don't take many pictures of that because they're not as blog appropriate or as cute as a Cinderella outfit. :)

New Potty Incentives

So, this whole potty training thing is beginning to drag on in Andersen world so my mom sent Cadence a package in the mail to help her finish up this potty training.

Going Potty (she just woke up which somewhat explains the hair)

Putting her sticker on the chart.
We started yesterday afternoon and she was so excited about a reward system that she went 4 times from after her nap until bedtime.
The other part of the reward (and the one she likes the most)  NANDY!!!!!

As I write this she's in the bathroom with a book trying to go potty again. I think reward systems are going to be the new thing in the Andersen house :)

More Football!!!

We've been to yet another Mooresville football game!  This one was rainy and kind of cool (weather wise) but we still had a great time. We've also had a full Saturday of College Football (go FSU winning 69-0 - even if it was to a "girl's school")  as well as  a full Sunday of NFL Football!! We spent Sunday at some friend's house who have the NFL ticket where we could watch like 8 football games at a time on their TV. It was pretty exciting. We're sad that the Bucs lost but the Panthers came thru HUGE at the end of their game.   We are so excited in the Andersen house that it's football season. Here is a link to a YouTube video of Cadence talking about the football games.

The Bible says to "train up a child in the way they should go so that when they're old they will not depart from it"  Here is how Chris is starting to train Cadence in the proper way to take in a Saturday afternoon football game.

I think she's got this lesson down :)

Football Season!!!

A couple of weeks ago Cadence went to her first official football game!!! Since Chris is on staff with the school district, he - along with his family- gets in free to all the home high school football games. So, since it was free, we decided to go. Cadence loved it. She thought the band was great, copied all of the cheerleaders moves, watched the boys fall on their knees (her words) and ate more candy than she would normally have in a weeks time. She has talked non-stop about the boys with the ball and so we're planning on going to more ball games as the season continues.

Hanging out at home

August has brought us back into a normal routine (YAY!!!)  and so with that, Cadence has also settled back into a routine of normal things after a busy summer. Here are some pictures of her around the house doing what Cadence does.

Reading books. By the way, she LOVES these princess books. They're each a story about a Disney princess and she reads them all every day sometimes several times a day. And for some reason she has changed all the princesses names to Debbie. So, whenever she's reading them to herself she talks alot about Debbie instead of Ariel, Jasmine, Belle, Cinderella, etc. It is so funny!

Jumping on our bed......again. i know we shouldn't allow it but she likes it and doesn't get hurt too often. This particular day I was actually trying to get pictures of the dress because it's from Aunt Emily and has her monogram embroidered on the front of it. She just wanted to jump and me get pictures of it so she could see herself. but I did manage to get one of her posing in the dress.
Cadence asks for cake everyday since her birthday. She usually asks for an Elmo cake (which she hasn't had since her birthday in FL) so on this day we were making brownies and of course, she got to lick the bowl.

One Little Monkey

Cadence has a new trick that she loves. It's called jumping onto Daddy's bed. She has figured out that once she is on the bed, she can climb over to his night stand and jump from it back onto the bed. I tried to capture the whole thing in pictures.

On the bed with Daddy

Climbing over to the table.

Getting Ready.
1.......3.........5......CHICKEN!!!!  (this is what she says when she jumps. It started at the beach in FL and is still her favorite way to count)

In case you're wondering, yes she has gotten hurt. Yesterday she fell getting to the table and ended up with a really big scratch on her stomach. It didn't stop her tho because as I type this she's jumping again :)

Shae's Singing Debut!!

Tonight we were fixing to put Cadence to bed when she decided that she wanted to play the piano first. I'm so glad we let her stay up. She started singing and then wanted me (Ashleigh) to play too. So, after the doo doo song and the moon song, I thought I'd try Jesus Loves me. I didn't know she even knew it. So, whoever taught it to her, THANK YOU!!!  She started singing with me and we immediately ran for the camera. You've got to capture stuff this sweet. So, it's on You Tube and of course, I don't know how to sync them together so, here's the link.
