Pumpkin Patch part 2

We went back to the pumpkin patch yesterday with Chris' class. This time we went on a hayride and all the kids got to pick out a pumpkin to take home with them. Cadence had so much fun. At one point on the hayride, we all got to get off and pet some animals. She didn't like the turkey but other than that enjoyed the animals. However, she did love the apple cider at the end of the hayride. She even got to be the helper who went into the barn with the tour guide to get the cups for everyone to drink out of!

After yesterdays trip, our pumpkin count is at an all time high. 10 little ones, 3 medium ones, and 2 big ones. I think that our painting friends need to come get their pumpkins ;)

I hope you enjoy the pics of all our Wednesday fun!

Painting Punkins (again)

Yup, we painted again!  Ella came over to hang out on Monday night and wanted to paint pumpkins. She had missed out on the day with Mary because she was sick and now that she was all better, she wanted to paint.

So, I dug out some paint, put shirts on them to cover their clothes, and off they went. It was lots of fun. Cadence did much better with a paint brush this time (she actually knew what end to use).

The "Punkin" Patch Part 1

Every Wednesday Chris' class goes on a field trip to a different place in Mooresville. Sometimes it's the Library or the Hardware store, just something local and interesting (kind of). This past week they all went out to one of the local Pumpkin Patches.   Cadence and I decided to join them.

Cadence posing in a tree and with pumpkins.

They were all picking pumpkins out of the patch to help decorate the school.

Group Shot

Another Group shot :)      And the Andersens

There was a kitty running around who was the hit of the day for Cadence as well as several of the kids. Cadence loved the cat, but it played kind of rough and she did end up with a couple of scratches as well.

She loves to help push the wheel chairs.

This Wednesday we go back to the same place and we're going on a hay ride so stay tuned for more pictures!!!

Painting "Punkins"

Cadence's friends Mary and Emily came over on Tuesday to paint pumpkins. I don't think that Cadence has ever painted before so it was a brand new experience for her. She had so much fun!!  and the poor pumpkins got decorated in some interesting ways :)

Poor Emily just had to hang out in her seat

Here's some more pumpkins being painted.

However, after a while painting pumpkins got boring to the girls and they decided that it would be more fun to paint themselves and the sidewalk.

Here's a full body painting of Mary.  and lots of pictures of the girls having too much fun

This was Cadence's big pumpkin. She loved the pink the most and then afterward decided to add some other colors to it.

Cadence and her Babies

Cadence LOVES her babies. She plays with them most all of the time and incorporates them into her other playing too. Like if she's swinging she takes a baby out to swing, or if she's playing in her kitchen she's making food and feeding one of her babies, etc. I've been trying to get some pictures of her over the last week or so of her playing at different times with different babies. Here's what I came up with. Enjoy!!

New Video

I've put a new video on You Tube. Cadence has learned the song Mary Had a Little Lamb. However, one of her best friends is named Mary so she really thinks that the song is about her friend Mary. So, without being prompted or anything, she began to put in other people's names to have a little lamb too. Lella, Daddy, Mommy. It's pretty funny. She wanted a "piano lesson" because i had several on Friday that she had to wait thru. So we were rdoing her lesson and she was singing and playing.
