Cadence's Mad Photography Skills

Lately one of Cadence's favorite things to do is to grab the camera and take some pictures herself. Chris turned on the camera today and there were about 20 extra pictures that had to be the work of Cadence. Then this afternoon, she wanted to take some more. So, I thought I would share her works of art. Hope you enjoy!! :)

Last weekend, Cadence went with Grammie (Trisha), Emily, and Kay-Kay (Kathy) to see Elmo Live. Kathy and Andy had gotten tickets thru his work and since Cadence LOVES Elmo they wanted to take her. My mom was in town because it was music recital weekend for Chris and I with MusicTime (our music lessons) and so it worked out perfectly for Mom to be here and be able to take Cadence to Raleigh to spend time with Kay-Kay and Emily. They had box seats so what follows are some pictures that Mom took of the Show and Cadence. 

I'm so glad Bert and Ernie were there because Ernie is one of Cadence's favorites.

This is just another example to me of how cool our relationship is with our birth family. I am often overwhelmed to think of how God has blessed us with another family and that we get to share Cadence with them. Thanks Kay-Kay, Grammie and Emily for taking care of our girl!!

On Saturday we went to Young's Dairy with Keith and Cindy.  It was so much fun. They have a petting zoo, mini-golf, driving range, lots of rides, and best of all ICE CREAM!!  The cows in the petting zoo make all the milk that is used for the ice cream and it was so yummy!

Sunday afternoon we went to a cookout with some of Keith and Cindy's friends. There were 5 little girls there (including Cadence) and they all had so much fun. They had a slip-n-slide and a big sprinkler. Once they got the hang of it, they had lots of fun with the slip-n-slide. The water was way cold and they all just shivered the whole time but wouldn't quit playing. It's so fun to make new friends. Cadence is great at it and just jumps in and plays with anyone who is around.

Cadence woke up on Saturday morning in Ohio and wanted her picture taken. This was her pose. 
I was fixing a dessert for a cookout on Sunday and so Cindy gave Cadence her own stuff to work with to "make" a cake.

The Ice Cream Man!!!   He comes thru our neighborhood in NC every day but Cadence has had no clue of what is in his truck. Cindy wanted to get Cadence something so when we heard him coming, they ran out to the street to get an ice cream. 

Cadence picked a Dora-faced one with 2 gumballs for eyes. So, we threw away the gum balls and she just got the ice cream.

Fun at the Park

Keith and Cindy have a great park just down the road from their house. So, on Friday after our pedicures, we all went to the park to give Cadence some time to play.
