We've Gone to the Dogs

I'm so glad that Cadence is a dog lover because if she wasn't there could have been major problems over THanksgiving. In Ohio, there were 6 adults, 1 Cadence and 4 dogs!!! That makes for a prety crowded house. Cadence had so much fun (expecially with the big dogs) and constantly had a playmate in one of her 4-legged friends.

This picture is Cadence playing with Madison and Slang. If the dogs were outside, she wanted to be with them regardless of how cold it was.

And then Kohala came to play too. Her mom is a friend of Cindy's who was going out of town to see family so Kohala played with us.

Cadence loved carrying around a leash which was torture because the dogs all know that that is supposed to mean going on a walk. She never did take one for a walk but loved to chew on the metal part of the leash.

Slang mostly whined and chirped the whole weekend (if you know Slang you know this sound) He just loves to play with people.

The dog food station was a pretty big temptation to Cadence. With 3 -4 sets of bowls out at all times, I'm sure she consumed quite a bit of dog food over the weekend.

Shae was so happy as we started out on the trip to Ohio.

And at times she was less happy :(I think it was the best when she slept (which was 7 of the 9 hours)We played outside after we got to Grandpa Keith and Mimi's so that Cadence could run off some energy after being in the car for so long. We also knew that it was going to be cold and wet the next day so we wanted to play outside as much as possible while the weather was so nice.

Cadence has completely mastered going both up and down stairs and had a blast playing on them.
Cadence loved playing with Aunt Lisa and Uncle Joe(y).
Outside on Thanksgiving helping Grandpa Keith and Daddy cook the turkey.
Mimi was making yummy sweet potatoe casserole.
Grandpa Keith was making chocolate chip cookies.

Daddy made the mashed potatoes and the gravy (but it was in a jar)

Ready to eat a yummy Thanksgiving dinner!!

We put this hat on her trying to recapture the "thanksgiving thug" but I'm not sure we got it

Maybe Agnes is a better "thug"

This was the remote for the fan in our room abd Cadence loved turning the fan off and on.

A few more pics

This picture just makes me laugh. I don't really know why. It's just so like Cadence to sit in an upside-down end table.
Yet another angle to play the piano from.
We moved Cadence's cool table to her room and took out the changing table altogether. That was the last of the "baby" stuff that we had out so now she's officially a toddler. It is great though because she really likes to play in her room now and will sit in there and look at books for a long time.

Isn't that snot so attractive?!?Do you know hard it is to get your hair that tall?
Not very hard at all. That's just how it is when we don't fix it. Therefore, I have learned how to put bows and pony tails and clips in hair. Who would have ever thought that I would have the kid whose hair has to be fixed daily?!?!?

Like Father Like Daughter

This is the newest thing to do with a drum stick. It's definitely better thhitting Slang with it. If you'll notice, she also has the remote stuck under her arm. She's learning well from Daddy isn't she?
OK, so our friend Terica gave Chris this Looney Tunes DVD several years ago for Christmas. We watch it most every Saturday morning because it's better than the cartoons that come on now. And Cadence LOVES it (in fact, she's watching it right now as I work on this post)
What's so great is that Slang is always right in the middle of Chris and Cadence hoping that one of them will throw his toy...and it usually works for him.
